Welcome everyone. I am delighted you have read or will be reading one of my books. I do hope this is the beginning of a lasting relationship. It has been a crazy process getting my books published and available to readers. I am most certainly grateful to God.
Someone once asked me, "What is the true identity of the characters in your novels because they seem so real?" She wanted to know if I was writing an autobiography of someone's life and presenting it in the form of fiction. The characters in my novels are all contents of my imagination.
Since I was a girl, I have always loved to read and write. I remember when I first started writing my first book. I rushed around trying to decide what would make me unique. Finally, I decided it was easier for me to place fictional characters into real-life situations. Writing my books was so much fun because I got to write down my own thoughts and not be critiqued by a professor.
There are experiences in life that changed who I am today. One of those experiences was when a reader contacted my mother to ask questions about my books. I was and will always be thankful to this reader who gave me the push I needed to continue writing.
As an educator, I have always found myself drawn to at-risk youth. For one, I find it rewarding to change a child's life. I am not a miracle worker, but I have managed to help many children during my time spent as an educator.
Writing has always been rewarding for me!
It is wonderful to receive comments from readers. If you haven't sent me a comment, I hope to hear from you soon.
Please continue to check my website for updates. My fourth novel is scheduled for release in 2013.
Thank you for reading!
